Raya Photo Outing

Well we didn't have any plans for the raya holidays, Alex came up with the idea of having a photo shoot. The models? My 2 beautiful gals. Drove to the Marina in Putrajaya, Zoey had alot of space to run around and explore. Manage to get some cute shots of sweetie and Zoey. The real challenge was to get Zoey interested because it was really hot and she kept going for her water bottle and laying down on the cement floor which was cooling.

Phottix Tetra Wireless Flash Trigger

Overall I was impressed with the kind of photos I can take with the wireless flash trigger to get those dramatic shots. But it was a frustrating day when I got the Tetra unit. Packaging and product was excellent for what it's worth, after doing a lot of reading on the net regarding them and how easy it was to use, FYI there was no manual in the box. So when I got everything out of the box I went on to put everything together, plug & play. Everything fitted nicely and I pressed the test button to check the signal, it worked like a charm. Then I was ready to take a photo *click*, but the flash didn't fire!.

Now I thought that there was some kinda setting that needed to be tweaked here or there on the camera or on the flash. I searched and tweaked settings for 4 hours but still couldn't get the shutter button to fire the flash. After all that searching and troubleshooting, I picked up my screwdriver and opened up the flash transmitter. Surprise, surprise! The Positive (+) wire was totally disconnected from the shoe rod, I somehow expected that to be the issue but it was the last thing that I checked :(

Overall I'm impressed with this product. Everything looks and good but feels kinda cheap, but that doesn't really matter as long as it triggers when the shutter button is pressed to get those shots.

Drinking & Driving...bad! Join the Pact!

I was blown away when I read about how Johnnie Walker is promoting the importance of NOT driving under the influence of alcohol. What took me away even more was that even Lewis Hamilton and Mika Hakkinen was involved in this. Looks there is a race going on between Lewis and Mika to see who gets the most signatures on Drinking and Driving. I've decided to sign for Mika, sorry Lewis, but it's just that Mika was one of those drivers who was in my era of F1 racing and he put on a great show before he retired. Petrol prices UP?!

Was having a good day till I heard that RON97 petrol prices went up! WTH! Why are they making things harder that it already is? This must be a pretty nice present for Independence day! Everyone is talking about it, not everyone drives a car that can use RON95 and even so it's not right to raise the price for that, it should be lower! I wouldn't mind paying more for RON100 if they still decide to sell it. Jeez! I'm pissed! All bull crap!
