MAM SIC Rally X Round 2 Tarmac
As usual it was a freakishly hot day in Sepang. Started the day around 7am buying some ice and drinks for my ice box. Upon arriving I saw some competitors setting up giant umbrellas and tents.
The event started after briefing and everyone was eager to start driving on the long, fast & slippery course. Talking about the course, it was really slippery everywhere due to the dust laying around, these car parks and back lanes aren't used very often. There were 2 cars that went off the road and into the surrounding fences that blocks off the helipad that is on top of the hill. Some familiar faces from GRA and other events were there.
I did finish 1st in my class. Fastest time of the day went to a tracked preped Honda Civic EG with a 1.8L engine. He was fast, really fast. I did have fun in a new course and experienced something different, I wouldn't mind taking part again later in the year.

Scrubs & Sesame Street
Over the past few days I manage to catch up on Scrubs Season 8, one of my favorite comedy sitcoms. Why do I like Scrubs? Well I guess the sillyness of JD and Turk just cracks me up. Best part of the show is at the end when there is a moral or reason for things that happen in the life of the show.
One particular episode which is still stuck in my head is Episode 5, this is where JD keeps having day dreams of muppets in the hospital, at the end of the show there is a cover song of the Sesame Street theme song by Joshua Radin, many people call it the "sad" version, but I think it's a grown up version. Reminds me of when I was a kid and watched it on weekends and learning new stuff on the show, big bird, cookie monster, oscar, count dracula, elmo and all the other characters seemed so real in then. Brings back memories.

Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street
Come and play
Everything's A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That's where we meet
Can you tell me how to get

Photoshoot : Nissan Navara
4x4's don't really appeal to me just because they don't really fit my lifestyle. I don't use it for anything big or to transport anything heavy. But they are good to have, just in case you need something transported urgently. Ever since the Petrol hike last year I did pay more attention to them just because majority of them are running on Diesel fuel which was cheap at one point of time. I haven't had a lot of experience in driving these 4x4's but I have had a chance to drive them on an obstacle course designed just for them.
This time around I had the opportunity to test drive a Nissan Navara and this Mother Trucker is big!. First thing you'd notice is how big the interior space is, lots of leg room at the rear seats and plenty to adjust to in the front. On the outside the truck does look wide and long and it is larger compared to the other competitors. Nothing really special on the electronics, standard 4x4 control knob, radio, adjustable side mirrors. Although there were some things that did catch my attention, the HID head lamps and the adjustable head lamp heights.
2.5L Turbo Charged Diesel with Common Rail Direct Injection engine power outputs around 170bhp @ 4000rpm and 40kg/m torque @ 2000rpm!. Now that's what I call power!. The best part is that the stats on paper didn't dissapoint when I took it out for a spin. The torque and power really made the truck seem like I was driving a car. I didn't measure the fuel consumption but it did pretty well based on what I saw when I returned the car.
Inside, the comfort level was better than expected, seats were comfortable and the ride was just nice. Handling is responsive and precise for a huge truck. Lots of positive response from the rear passangers with the bigger leg room and more comfy ride.
Overall I must say that this Mother Trucker is an excellent work horse for the daily driver, I wouldn't mind one myself. So head on over to the nearest Nissan dealer to check it out!

R.I.P Kurt Cobain
“It's better to burn out than fade away.”
I might not have listened to his music when he was alive, but his music lives on even from the grave. I can still recall my high school days when I was listening to his music every single day for almost 24 hours straight, I'm pretty sure I drove my mum up the wall with all the stereos playing hits from Nirvana. It's one of those things that just sticks to you when you love it and it becomes a part of your life. Kurt's lyrics and music made my teenage life a little more interesting. Rest In Peace Kurt.

Playstation 3
After all the time talking and waiting for one, finally...the PS3 has arrived! I must thank Sweetie for this because it is my birthday prezzie! Yes it's kinda early but I'm not complaining. We headed down to Digital Mall 19 'cause I found this to be the nearest shop listed on the Lowyat forum, upon checking out the mall we found out that the shop has a very nice boss named Reeve. He was attentive, professional and most of all helpful with his knowledge. The shop also offers game rentals, which is great!. Unfortunately the shop doesn't accept credit cards, I'm not sure if they are going to, but for the moment they don't have that service. Overall, one of the best services provided compared to other shops I've been to.
For more info on the shop goto : http://paradise4gamerz.blogspot.com
FYI there are other shops in the same mall which are selling Consoles too but the service and people who attend to you aren't very friendly.
Unboxing the PS3
